Who We Are
Breaking bread together isn't just about sharing food—it's about sharing stories, traditions, and creating lasting friendships. Welcome to Kids Breaking Bread, where young hands knead dough and young hearts knead connections.
Born from a collaboration between families from Kincoppal-Rose Bay and Emanuel School, the Kids Breaking Bread Project transforms ordinary classrooms into spaces where culture, friendship, and the joy of baking blend together. Here, students don't just learn about different traditions—they experience them firsthand, creating memories that rise like well-proofed dough and connections that last far beyond the school gates.
Our initiative brings primary school students together through one of humanity's oldest and most universal traditions: making bread. Same Ingredients, Different Stories: The Universal Language of Bread
At its heart, bread is beautifully simple. Flour, water, salt, and sometimes yeast — these basic ingredients appear in bread recipes from every corner of the world. Yet each loaf tells its own story, shaped by the hands and traditions of the culture that created it.
Like a culinary fingerprint, every society has found its own special way of transforming these humble ingredients into something magical. Now, your children can be part of this delicious journey of discovery.
Whether you're a parent, educator, or school administrator, we invite you to join us in this unique cultural exchange. Together, we're not just baking bread—we're cultivating understanding, one small baker at a time.
Ready to watch your school community grow stronger through the power of shared traditions? Let's break bread together.
